I once had a gift certificate for a VERY expensive shoe store. The cheapest pair was over $100. I think my certificate was for $25. I was debating between a scarf or these socks...I got 2 pair and had a whopping $1.50 left over. One pair was red plaid and this pair, black. They're a wool blend and very warm and comfy. I've worn them out, as I wear them almost exclusively in the winter.
So, instead of parting with my favorite chums, I darned them... This was my second attempt, and it came out pretty well if I do say so myself!
