Loving Green!

Green...I LOVE green, and red, and brown, and buttery yellow.  Those are my favorite colors!

The lovely vintage hat above, and below, is in excellent condition, except for being pulled out of shape from hanging on a hook for a long time.  I'll steam it back into it's original round shape...someday.  For now, it sits just right on the back of my head.  I added a creamy hair flower.

I picked up this gorgeous brown wool skirt, with cream embroidery about 4 years ago.  I put together an homage to Annie Oakley for fun, but never wore it anywhere.

I just couldn't figure out what to wear with the skirt.  I lent it to a friend for a Dale Evans Halloween costume she was wearing.  She mentioned it would be lovely with a green blouse.  Hmmm....that got my gears turning.  I found this green boat neck knit shirt at the thrift store about 3 weeks later.  The brown belt has a jeweled buckle.

The brooch is a Hallmark Cards black cat wearing a green Pilgrim hat from the 1980's.

I paired this outfit with a creamy sweater, and finished it off with brown tights, and Mary Janes. .
