This is a super comfortable ensemble right out of my closet. I added a fairly plain vintage gold leaf brooch to the shirt, and a spray of red enameled roses brooch to the cardigan,
from my jewelry box. The skirt is a perennial favorite with my most loved colors of red, sage green, and brown. The shirt is actually a knit jersey with 3/4 sleeves, and smocking detail near the neckline. The shirt and cardigan cost $1 each. The shoes were new from the thrift store for $4. I don't remember where the skirt came from or how much it cost, but I've worn it for 15 years so I'm sure it's paid for itself by now!
It's been 4 days since I washed and set my hair, and the curls are holding up fabulously. The front sections were looking a bit run down. I should've dampened them and put them in rollers last night for a refresher but I was too lazy. I just rolled them up in a yet-to-perfect victory roll/barrel pin curls.
The back curls are definitely relaxing, but still look great and have a lot of body.
I found this fantastic glass and enameled comb at a yard sale this weekend for .25! Sadly, there was only one but I'll be glad to make do with that.
I put her hair in victory rolls. I think I need to back comb them some more for volume.
She's pretty in pink today!
